Your First Visit

Following a thorough orthodontic evaluation, Dr. Patterson will discuss the problems and treatment options. At this point, he will not have enough information to assess the problems in detail, but can determine whether treatment is necessary, when it should begin, and what kind of braces should be used to produce the best results. Treatment costs will also be estimated. If you are under 18, please be sure to have a parent with you.

Many orthodontists allow only five minutes for the initial exam. In contrast, we reserve a full thirty minutes of the doctor's time for this visit for patients age 12 and older. This provides ample time for Dr. Patterson to carefully examine your child (or yourself, if you are an adult patient), and he will have time to thoroughly answer your questions. By all means, ask anything and everything!  If other treatments have been recommended elsewhere, Dr. Patterson can discuss the pros and cons of each option. We believe you’ll appreciate the difference! We take the time to care.
